The Cedar House Rules

Our tiny home tries really hard to be as wonderful as the cedar tree it sits next to. It even dressed itself in fancy cedar siding and lathered itself with tung oil. And although its efforts may have failed (it's hard to top mother nature), a... definite theme has been born. Runner-up names included 'Hail, Cedar!' and '20,000 Leagues Beneath the Cedar.'

November 2025: we are transitioning from short-term to longer term. We are especially interested in renting to traveling medical professionals, and look forward to making sure you have all that you need, every moment of your stay. Previously, as a short-term rental, this tiny home garnered 865 reviews with 4.96 stars. The Cedar House Rules was one of Charleston's premier Airbnbs.

Amenities include:

To note: one car only allowed (visiting cars are okay); there is no washer/dryer; the bathroom has a cloth curtain door; the loft is accessed by ladder.

Riverland Terrace is super cute and one of Charleston's most coveted neighborhoods. It boasts a community garden, yoga studio, coffee/smoothie spot, great bars & restaurants, an independent movie theatre, and a concert venue (The Pour House) which hosts an awesome farmer's market on Sundays. All accessible on foot or with the provided bicycles.
