The Cedar House Rules

Our tiny home tries really hard to be as wonderful as the cedar tree it sits next to. It even dressed itself in fancy cedar siding and lathered itself with tung oil. And although its efforts may have failed (it's hard to top mother nature), a... definite theme has been born. Runner-up names included 'Hail, Cedar!' and '20,000 Leagues Beneath the Cedar.'

December 2025: we are transitioning from short-term to longer term. Previously, as a short-term rental, this tiny home garnered 865 reviews with 4.96 stars. The Cedar House Rules was one of Charleston's premier Airbnbs.

This private tiny home in one of Charleston's best neighborhoods is available for one person with one car. (Visitors allowed).

Amenities include:

Worth noting: the bathroom has a cloth curtain door, the loft is accessed by ladder, and the fridge has no freezer (there is a countertop ice maker, though)

Riverland Terrace is super cute and one of Charleston's most coveted neighborhoods. It boasts a community garden, yoga studio, coffee/smoothie spot, great bars & restaurants, an independent movie theatre, and a concert venue (The Pour House) which hosts an awesome farmer's market on Sundays. All accessible on foot or with the provided bicycles.
