We remodeled this cottage in 2025 after our long-term tenants moved out. There's a brand new Mitsubishi HVAC system, new floors, bathroom overhaul, new appliances, and it's freshly painted. We also encapsulated the crawlspace and installed a... dehumidifier under the house so between that and the new HVAC you can always count on healthy air.
There's a generous attached storage shed out back, and ample off-street parking. We've begun to furnish it and can fully furnish it to the needs of our tenant, up to three beds, a desk, etc. High-speed 1 gigabit internet is included. Tenant pays for water and electric, which can stay in our name if easiest or be transferred to you. We'll consider a dog or cat. We are considering fencing in the yard - we'd complete that for the right tenant.
The location is as central as it gets for greater Charleston. You're 10 minutes from downtown, 5 minutes from the airport and Park Circle. We invested here because we love the Waylyn neighborhood. There's a little bit of everything. This house has long-term homeowners on either side and three Airbnb rentals across the street. You can bike or quickly drive to multiple breweries, including Tideland, Freehouse, and Holy City Brewing.
